Arguably the world's first Willy Wonka, Milton Hershey built a magical company town that still exists today: Hershey, Pennsylvania. But did you know that his first candy shop was here in Spring Arts? Opened in 1876 to capitalize on the Centennial Exposition, Hershey's first shop on Spring Garden Street still stands today. Though it was not a success for the 18 year old Hershey, his long legacy proves that all great things start small.
