“My drawings look perceptually at multiple locations in Philadelphia and are then worked through memory, eventually becoming a fictional cityscape created with a playful approach.”

“These line drawings were made while walking around in the area and taking the train” Miriam shared in an impromptu interview for the Streets Dept. Instagram takeover. Rather than priming the wall, Miriam worked with the existing colors and pulled the into her sketches. Miriam screen printed her designs onto ┬ápaper then used wheat paste to adhere each piece onto the wall. “A cityscape, village, hill” is how the artist describes the shapes and peak toward the top of the mural.
